Noora Al Kharji joined Dr. Vempati’s research team in January 2017.  She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and is the recipient of a university scholarship.  Previously, she has worked as an introductory-level chemistry tutor and in several chemistry laboratories.  She will work on violet-colored nanophase Mn oxide, whose formation diamer compounds have an application in food chemistry.
